And the wheel turns..

Wow, 66. When did that happen? Time truly does fly. Seems like just a few months ago that I was contemplating qualifying for the Old Age Pension!! Not that I feel at all old, au contraire. I admit to some aches and pains, and to the fact that gravity isn't necessarily my friend, but on the whole, I'm in pretty good shape for the shape I'm in. LOL.

For my birthday, I got a nice cheque from ICBC. I signed over my old Honda Civic to them, picked up the settlement cheque, and then promptly gave the money to Honda for my new car. My new car! Not a bad birthday present.

It was a good day. Went out to the farm, helped with the afternoon work, said hi to my horses, and got a nice card and gift from Sue and Jack. On the way home, I stopped off at White Dwarf and bought myself a new book. Made myself a birthday supper (pasta with a fresh veggie sauce, followed by strawberry ice cream). All in all a good birthday day.

It's been stinking hot here. I sure wouldn't mind a cloudy day, and maybe a rain shower or two.
