Noise Evasion 101

OMG, I hate living in the midst of a construction zone, especially after working all night. The roofers start up at 0800 hours precisely, and go none stop until noon, when there is a blessed hour of silence. It's the constant high pitched whine of whatever tools they're using, like being in the middle of a very loud dentist's office.

I finally had to flee the apartment. It turned out not so badly; I went up to the library and found a book A Sunless Sea by Anne Perry, then I went down to my friends' book store and bought a new Mercedes Lackey Elemental Mages novel. I took my books down to Spanish Banks, and sat on a bench reading and watching the boats out on the water. It was a lovely summery day, and I really enjoyed being there. I haven't spent any time at the beach since last year when my sisters were here. It was nice. I came back home just as the work was winding down for the day.

Peace and quiet. Ahhh.
