Good morning!

Good morning, all! I’m getting back into this journaling stuff, inspired by the ongoing nuttiness over on Twitter to diversify my online presence. I’d forgotten how nice it is to be able to read longer posts and be reminded about the various fandoms that used to be such a big part of this.
I’m glad to find many people I remember still here; I have kept in touch with others on Twitter and Facebook but some of you I only find here.
I’m still working part time in ICU and CCU, 2 or 3 shifts a week. Yesterday I was chatting with my patient, a very charming gentleman who is originally from England. We were talking about British TV shows (Father Brown mystery was on the TV) and he was telling me about all the pubs he’s been to that have been seen on various shows, including Father Brown and Coronation Street. I remembered going to a pub in London that had been open since the time of Henry VIII. I told him of visiting the place where my grandfather grew up, a small village called Notley on the Hill, and he said “I’ve been there, lovely place”. It was a small world kind of moment. The whole conversation kind of made my day.
Time for more coffee to start this day!
