Happy Summer!
Jun. 20th, 2012 09:47 pmIt's finally summer, and for one day the weather here co-operated nicely. Lovely day, just warm enough to be comfortable, not too hot to work outside. Really enjoyed it.
I had the first strawberries of the season yesterday. I was up at the produce store and the guy there was putting out the first shipment of local strawberries. I treated myself to a box, so so yummy..the local berries are sweet and juicy and ripe, so they need to be eaten quickly. Only last a couple of days at best, but that's not really a problem. I plan on eating a lot of strawberries in the next couple of weeks.
I hope all you folks back east are managing to stay cool. It sounds way too hot for me. I remember summers in Toronto, and if it's as humid now as it was back then, I don't think I could handle it. I moan about the rain here, but I really don't do well in the heat. Good thing, considering the weather here this year. LOL.
