The eyes have it.

I went and got my eyes tested today, and surprise! my vision has improved significantly since my last pair of glasses. The ones I have now are way too strong, apparently. No wonder I've been having trouble focusing. I chose new frames too, something a bit stronger and more modern than these ones, which are kind of like the ones John Lennon used to wear. I tried on a lot of frames, and luckily for my budget the ones I like best were not the $600 ones! Much more reasonable at just over $200. It was as difficult as clothes shopping for me, and since it's something everyone sees immediately, pretty important that I like them. My extended health insurance will pay for part of the cost, hurray.

It was weird afterwards, walking out into the bright sun - my pupils were all dilated, and it was almost painful in the brightness. Had to go home and close the blinds for awhile.

I can't believe it's taken me so long to go get this done. I just stopped in to make an appointment, and they had an opening right then. One more thing to do crossed off my list.

Good news is that my eyes are healthy, no sign of eye disease or anything.
