Feb. 9th, 2013 09:23 pmHere I am, sitting on my couch, listening to a little light jazz on CBC, sipping my tea and tapping on the keys of my laptop..not a bad way to spend a Saturday evening. I'm very glad I'm not back east, dealing with all that snow! Hope everyone on my flist who lives in that area is okay. I won't rub salt in the wounds by mentioning that I saw the first shoots of spring daffodils in my planters today, that would be cruel. :P
Out at the farm, things are moving right along. The new barn is almost totally framed in; they built stairs up to the second floor this week, so I went up to have a look around. The apartment is going to be beautiful, with lots of big windows and a great view of the ravine, and of the paddocks and small barn. We're going to make windows for the horses in the small barn so the boys and Jubilee can look out when they're in their stalls (Kandance already has one), so when we're up in the apartment and look out, we'll be able to see right into the barn. I'm sure Jubilee will have her head out keeping an eye on everyone, since she is the boss mare! It's really getting very exciting to see all the progress.
It's been a busy week, just the usual stuff. Nothing really exciting, but that's life. Not going to complain.
