Falling Behind..
Dec. 21st, 2013 09:29 pmI have a couple of topics left in the December talking meme, and I will get to them, I promise. I have a lot to say, but I am just not in the mood right now. It's been a busy couple of days, and my brain is a bit fried. Yesterday was totally crazy at work; all of CCU seemed to be in overdrive with lots of very sick people and lots of activity, and not quite enough staff. I was exhausted when I got home, went to bed early, but woke up with a bad case of heartburn..guess it was all the pizza and chocolates that I ate. This time of year there is always lots of food around, especially sweets. Only got about 3 hours sleep before getting up and going back to work. It was a better day, not quite so hectic. However I'm pretty wiped out right now, and still feeling a bit fried. So I will get my thoughts in order and get to the meme in the next couple of days, okay?
It snowed like crazy yesterday (at least for what we normally see here). When I went to work at 6:30 yesterday morning, there was a row of city buses lined up on the street trying to get up the hill from Alma, on the way to UBC. One of them was stopped in the middle of the road, and it was like dominoes..no bus was able to get up the hill. So much for the city's promise to get the major routes salted and sanded! My little Honda did just fine; I have brand new snow tires, hurray. I was really glad I didn't have to go out to the farm; it must have been mayhem on the roads out in the Valley! Most of the snow is gone now, and the rain is back. It's going to be a green Christmas after all.
