Since I’m reconnecting here, guess I should bring you up to date with things. It’s been 5 years since I last posted, it seems. We have all been through some stuff, haven’t we? The pandemic, creeping fascism, climate catastrophe, the world sure has given us some serious challenges!
I worked in ICU all throughout the worst of the pandemic and survived. I’m still working in ICU and CCU a couple of shifts a week, enjoying my role as elder nurse who now has great wisdom to pass along (🤣🤣). I’m vaccinated fully, still masking and cautious. I have managed to stay healthy.
Still have my horses, although like me, they’re older and crankier, lol. I get out to see them every week and my friends at the farm take good care of them for me.
Otherwise I’m still much the same, just a bit older and grayer.
😎

Date: 2022-11-12 04:44 am (UTC)Hope you get more time with your equine friends.
I've been active in ETS (Equine Trail Sports) recently. I'm paying back all those people who made it possible for me to compete as a kid: by being a judge. It is hard work but fun and social, and I very much support the emphasis on quiet, kind horsemanship.

Date: 2022-11-14 05:14 am (UTC)Glad you made it through the pandemic in reasonable shape, it was a bizarre time for sure.
I post here on and off, but this place is it for me social media wise, no Facebook or Twitter. Not like the LJ or ATPo days, for sure, but still really great to touch base with my friends from back then.
Still have your horses, eh? Cool!
