I know, it's not the kind of cold they have on the prairies or back east, but it sure felt like the onset of winter here. There was ice on the water in the barrels in the paddocks, and the ground was pretty frozen, even this afternoon.
Time to get the woolies out.

I was really chilly this afternoon after spending an hour holding Kandance while Sue clipped her. Sue was plenty warm because she was wielding those heavy clippers and getting covered with Kandance's hair. The horse has quite a coat and getting it off is a lot of work. She gets clipped because she gets too hot in her winter blanket; the small barn is quite warm, even in the cold weather.
By the time we were done, my fingers felt like they were little sticks of ice.
Wow, doesn't seem so long ago that we were complaining about the heat...

I finally had to turn on the heat here at home in my apartment. Guess winter is on the way.
