Mar. 13th, 2013 09:23 pmI'm watching the World Figure Skating Championships, surfing through LJ and boiling eggs for my lunch tomorrow. Multi-tasking, yup. LOL.
Busy day; up and on the road by 8 a.m., at the farm by 9:15, helped put the horses out (taking advantage of the break in the never ending rain) and then cleaned 9 stalls. Really motored and got it all done by lunchtime, mostly. We got the horses back in just before the rain came back.
Driving home was a bit of a chore, what with all the driving rain. Traffic was busy, but luckily there were no stalls or accidents along the way. On my way out this morning I passed a bad accident - a car was flipped over on its roof on the other side of the freeway, and traffic going into Vancouver was at a standstill. Too much speed in rainy weather, no doubt.
Got home and made dinner, oven fried chicken, mashed potatoes and veggies. Yummy, and there's leftovers for tomorrow's dinner. Yay. Have to work tomorrow, so I have to be prepared.
That's it for me. Back to Skating!
Oh, yeah.. we have had some interesting critter visitors to the farm over the years; cats, raccoons, deer, coyotes, peacocks(mother and chicks), a mink, and today we have a ferret. The carpenters saw it a few days ago, and managed to touch it, so it must be someone's pet. It's black, and I saw it today in our feed room, looks a bit skittish. We're going to try to catch it, and Kelly said she'd take it home with her if we can. What do ferrets eat? It looks pretty healthy, so it must be eating something.
