What a lovely day it turned out to be today. Chilly enough in the morning that there was a skiff of ice on the water in the boys' water barrel, but the sun was out and it warmed up nicely by afternoon.

I had a fine day. Was out at the farm at 9a.m. to help Kelly with the chores, since Sue and Jack were at the horse show with Goldie. We got all the horses out and just motored through the stalls. We were all done by 11:45! I went to Tim Hortons' and bought myself some lunch, brought it back and ate it while sitting in the sunshine. We had time to groom some of the horses; this time of year they're all starting to shed their winter coats and are really itchy, so they love being groomed. Jubilee had a huge mound of white fur in the paddock; it looked like it had snowed. I took Orca's blanket off and gave him a good going over; Florrie was standing in her paddock next to his and was all, "me too! me too!" So I did her too. My down vest got all wet because she insisted on grooming me back. LOL. Then I gave my Rochelle a good grooming too. It's nice to have the time to do more than just clean stalls.

After Kelly left I raked the manure pile, then decided to wash my car..it was so dirty. I was just kind of hanging around waiting for Sue to get back, enjoying the peace and quiet. She got back around 4, so we had tea while she told me about Goldie's day. She jumped a big course outdoors, with 15 jump combinations set at 3'6". It's the biggest course she's seen, and she was great, did her very best to jump them all and never stopped or refused. Good girl, Goldie.

I got home, had supper and got set for work for tomorrow. The day really flew by.
