Ready, winter!
Nov. 15th, 2013 06:44 pmWhen I woke up this afternoon after working a night shift (BTW, I don't deal all that well with delirious little old women at 2 a.m.) I decided two things: one, the next language I learn will be Cantonese, and Two, today would be the day I would get the snow tires put on my car.
I waited in line at the OK Tire store for 90 minutes. The rain was pouring down, and I was in the car listening to the radio so I read through the driver's manual while I waited. So the time was well spent, LOL. The place was really busy, guess everyone had the same fear of getting stuck in the snowstorm that no one believed was coming. I did manage to get the tires on; I had to buy 4 new tires because, as I suspected, the tires from my old CIVIC were a different size. Well, new car, new tires, it's a good thing.
I am, sadly, about $600 poorer. But I have good tires, and that's worth the money. With all these idiots on the road, good tires are important.
