Go, Goldie!
Apr. 30th, 2012 04:56 pmGoldie was brilliant on Sunday! She went clear in a time of 57 seconds, and came second. She won a big blue ribbon, and I'm sure by now Jack has it hanging in a place of honour. He is so proud of his girl, as are we all.
I wish I could have been there to see her go, but I had to work. Sue left me a message right after the show to let me know. She said Goldie didn't put a foot wrong, and was amazing. We're over the moon. Only her second show, and her fourth time in a big show ring with all the flowers and jumps and distractions, and she won a ribbon. I think she has a great future in front of her. It makes all of the work everyone put in worth it. :)
Today is my day to relax, tidy up the apartment, shop for food etc. I went out for tea with a friend, puttered around on the patio (aphid alert, aphid alert! My roses are under attack..) and made a big pot of vegetarian chili.
Getting ready for a night of TV: Dancing With the Stars, Castle, Bones..good thing I still have my trusty VCR. I have last week's episode of Missing to catch up on too. I saw in the TV guide that the second season of Sherlock starts on PBS next weekend, too. I'm looking forward to that.
