Argh. Damned technology.

Case in point, tonight I went online to make a claim for my new eyeglasses with Blue Cross on my extended benefits plan. I've done it before for massage therapy, and it was pretty simple; just log in, fill out the forms and click submit. Did all that tonight, and when I clicked submit, surprise! I'd been chosen for a "random receipt verification"...which meant I had to download and fill out more forms, print them out, and then mail everything to Blue Cross (by snail mail). Of course, now my printer won't work. Argh.
My solution? Copy out the info by hand, write a little note saying sorry, the printer broke, here's my receipt from the Optometrist, Bob's your uncle, send me the money. The whole thing took me three times as long as it would have to just write the darned letter.
