I've been up early practically every day this week, and I have to keep going until Wednesday. I was on the road at 7:15 this morning, hurrying to get to the horse show in time to see Goldie. Really booted it along the freeway, hurray for no traffic. When I got there Sue told me the start time had been changed to 9 a.m., so I had time for a hot chocolate and a muffin. We lucked out on the weather again; chilly but dry.

Goldie was very good again. She knocked down 2 rails, but she was lightening fast; in fact she was the fastest of all the horses. She's a real speed demon. Now the task is to keep the speed, but teach her to be more adjustable. Still, we're thrilled with her performance; all we wanted was for her to get around the course without any freakouts or stops. She didn't look once at any of the distractions, wasn't fazed by the loud music, just pricked her ears and went at those jumps. Fantastic for a five year old horse who has only been to a few competitions. We're very proud of her.

I went over to the farm after to help Kelly. We put all the horses out and whipped through the stalls. Kelly has a half day today so we really hustled to get the work done.

I was so tired this afternoon I had to really fight to stay awake on the drive home. Took a wee nap when I got home. Got to get up early again in the morning. It's the last day of the show, so fingers crossed for Goldie. There's some prize money, wouldn't that be wonderful? You never know what will happen. She could be first, or she could be last.
