Ah, the tiny font problem is solved, thanks to my fine flist.

Giggle of the day:

I walked by one of those "post no bills" signs on a fence and someone had carefully pasted pictures of various Bills (Shatner, Gates, Clinton, Prince William, Gibson, etc.) over the no. I LOL'd.

Took my car in for a regularly scheduled tuneup. Why is it that a "routine" oil change always turns into something more expensive? I admit my car is getting old, and things start to go, but ouch. $800 later, and they didn't even wash her! I got a courtesy car wash voucher in lieu of, but I just don't have the time to come back just for that. Oh well, I plan to keep the car going as long as possible, so I have to pay for the upkeep.

I have one gift left to buy, and then all my Christmas shopping is done, except for a few little stocking stuffers. Yay!

Tip of the day for all you chefs out there: read the recipe thoroughly and take note of all the required steps before embarking on a new recipe. I failed to do that today and ended up with a whole lot more work than I planned on. Made a squash and caramelized onion lasagna that looked good on paper and ended up taking almost 2 hours to prepare. By the time I realized how complicated it was I was too far in to stop. I used almost every pot in the kitchen and the end result was...satisfactory, but not fabulous. I liked it, but I don't think I'll make it again. Not enough bang for the culinary buck.

I managed to get quite a lot done today, on my "day off". Not bad.
