Too damned hot.

midnightsjaneIt's been way too hot for way too long, in my opinion. I wish to lodge a complaint with the Weather Network. Could we please just have a day or two of clouds and showers? Preferably on a day when we have to do all the barn work.
At 2 o'clock this afternoon it was 28C in the shade out at the farm. I was just about ready to collapse. Doing that kind of manual labour in the heat is so much harder than it is when it's cool. I really don't know how people manage it in places where this kind of weather is the norm. Guess that's what air conditioners are for.
This weekend is the Abbotsford Air Show, so traffic is going to be horrible. It always seems to be the very hottest weekend of the summer for the air show. I sure am not going to be there! Acres of tarmac, no shade, thousands of people..there's not an aircraft in the world I'd go there for. Maybe the Enterprise, if I was promised a trip into space..
Space would be cool..in both senses of the word.
